1tbsp Soft Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon

120g Cold Unsalted Butter
Ingredients for the Topping
1.5 tbsp of Rolled Oats
1.5tbsp of Demerara Sugar
Method
Pre heat the oven to 190C/ 170C fan/ Gas mark 5. Peel and core 3 Bramley Apples, cut into ruff square chunks. Evenly spread the apples in a medium dish approximately 20cm square. Ensure that the apples are evenly distributed.
Dust 1tbsp caster sugar and 1tbsp brown sugar over the apples at 1/2tsp of cinnamon mix over all the apples ensure all the chinks are covered with the sugar and cinnamon.
In a bowl measure 180g plain flour, 120 caster sugar and 120g cold butter. Rub the mixture through your fingers to create a crumb like texture ensure that there is no sugar or flour stuck at the bottom of the bowl.
Pour the crumb mixture over the apples ensure there are no apples exposed. Sprinkle the rolled oats and the Demerara sugar on top of the crumble, when cooked the Demerara will provide a crispy coating.
